That Gruesome Animated Movie Ending That Haunts Audiences

Out of all the mature cartoon movies I have personally watched, nothing has lingered in my mind quite like the terror-laced ending of a graphically gory as well as overwhelingly transgressive 2022 movie Unicorn Wars.

In 2015’s, this Spanish filmmaker developed a grim, bleak , often savage universe with a few small , forlorn twinges of hope.

Although Unicorn Wars seems like it came from an impulse to advance animation further, the director explained that it was actually an attempt to convey a global, cross-cultural message regarding “the common origin of all wars.”

That idea is expressed by means of a squad of vividly colored bears , openly based on a popular series of cuddly figures.

Growing up in a society focused on militarism as well as the military-industrial complex, many of the bears are fixated on killing unicorns, thanks to a sacred text that tells them they used to be rulers of the woodland, before these creatures forced them out.

A few haven’t fully bought into the indoctrination, , prefer to try out substances and fornicate in the woods.

In contrast to their gentle counterparts, these vivid animals have visible genitals , clear urges.

For a certain notably brutal, pessimistic creature, the bear named Bluey, the war with unicorns becomes a road to control — and especially to supremacy over his softer, nicer brother Tubby.

Bluey acts as a tormentor and a seeming sociopath , and as horror overcomes his squad and takes his comrades individually, he seizes progressively control on his own behalf, via progressively bloody, damaging approaches.

Meanwhile, the horned creatures are suffering their own horror, in the form of a spreading, destructive monster in their woods.

“At the beginning, it appears as a lighthearted film,” the filmmaker said. “Yet it turns into a more dramatic and sorrowful film. And by the end, it’s a scary feature.”

The Unicorn Wars starts out resembling one of the most quirky movies by an iconic filmmaker, which find a naughty glee in allowing animated figures swear, shoot each other, or engage sexually.

Afterward it becomes something more like a more grim movie by that same creator, including ever more graphic violence and a tangible link to the actual horror of battle.

By the end, it’s a complete extreme drama bloodbath.

The fear that turns this a Halloween-friendly movie begins a lot earlier than indicated.

Unicorn Wars is ideal for the most dedicated lovers of violence, for enthusiasts of extreme cinema who wish to see a film they have not watched previously, and who can handle a story which delivers absolutely no punches.

Watch it in a dark room with no disturbances, and the finale will burrow into your mind and stay with you.
