Fresh Particulars Come to Light About the Location of the Bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner Remains

New information has come to light concerning the untimely passing of esteemed director Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were discovered at their Brentwood, Los Angeles residence on Sunday.

The Discovery

According to a report citing a family associate, a practitioner scheduled for an session first raised the alarm after being unable to gain access the residence. The practitioner then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives close by.

When she went into the home, Romy found her father's body. Accounts indicate she then left the home distraught, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was also present. A companion who had gone with her contacted 911. Afterward, paramedics discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Charges

Law enforcement have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of murder in the first degree, as well as the alleged use of a deadly weapon, reportedly a knife. He is presently being held and denied bail.

Disputed Reports

The confidential informant challenged several earlier details. The source indicated that while Romy Reiner informed emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a guesthouse on the property, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that moment.

Additionally disputed widely reported notions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "apprehensive" about Nick's actions in the weeks leading up to the incident. The source claimed the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

This correction applies to accounts of reportedly "unpredictable" conduct by Nick at a event held by Conan O'Brien on the night before the tragedy. Although the source noted they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "scolded" his son at the party, they maintained that suggestions of a "heated argument" between the two were inaccurate.

Investigation Timeline

Per law enforcement sources, the coroner had not yet established at that point whether the Reiners died late on Saturday or on Sunday. Preliminary media reports suggested the condition of their bodies suggested they had been dead for a period of time.

Nick Reiner was apprehended at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, roughly 15 miles from the residence. He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, said his client had a medical issue and would be unable to attend until Wednesday or later.
