The House investigative committee has released a collection of around 70 photos obtained from the property of late adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third such disclosure from a larger collection of in excess of 95,000 images the panel has secured from Epstein's property. It features photographs of quotes from the literary work Lolita written across a female's body, and obscured pictures of women's overseas passports.

This release occurs just hours before the 19 December deadline for the Justice Department to make public all documents associated with its probe into Epstein.

"These latest photos raise further questions about exactly what the DOJ has in its possession," remarked the ranking member of the committee, Robert Garcia.

Contents in the Photographs Made Public

A number of the photos published on this week depict Epstein conversing with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky aboard a personal aircraft; Bill Gates standing next to a female whose features is censored; Steve Bannon positioned at a workstation across from Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the latest wealthy, influential men to be photographed in Epstein's estate images published by the committee - previously released photos also depict US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, previous US treasury secretary Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Showing up in the photographs is does not constitute proof of any wrongdoing, and several of the featured men have said they were not participating in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a announcement accompanying the image publication, Lawmakers on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate's representatives did not offer background information or timeframes for the pictures.

"Images were chosen to offer the general populace with transparency into a illustrative selection of the photos acquired from the holdings, and to give understanding into Epstein's network and his extremely disturbing actions," the statement reads.

The release also contains multiple photos of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov literary work Lolita penned in black ink across several locations of a female's body, like her chest, foot, hipbone, and rear. Lolita tells the story of a minor who was manipulated by a adult literature professor.

An example of a passage from the novel written across a female's upper body states, "Lolita: the end of the tongue making a journey of three steps down the mouth to land, at three, on the teeth".

There are also a series of photographs of women's identification and ID papers from countries globally, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

Most of the information on the documents, like identities and DOBs, is redacted but the panel said in a statement that the passports pertain to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were interacting with".

A further photo features Epstein positioned at a table intimately in the company of three individuals whose features have been redacted - one has her hand on Epstein's chest under his clothing, and a second is leaning to look at a adjacent device. Epstein can be seen to be aiding the third attach a bracelet.

An additional photo disclosed is a image of digital messages from an unidentified sender who states they have been supplied "several females" and are asking for "$$1,000 for each individual".

Photo Release Occurs Prior to DOJ Cut-off

The panel has many thousands of photographs in its custody from the Epstein holdings, which are "simultaneously explicit and everyday," its announcement on Thursday clarified.

The oversight panel first issued a subpoena to the estate of Epstein, who passed away in a New York prison in 2019 while facing trial on allegations of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The photos and documents the Epstein estate's representatives gave to the committee are different than what is often referred to "the Epstein files". Those files are documents under the justice department's possession related to its independent probe into Epstein.

Pursuant to the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which the President made law recently, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to publish its documents. The scope of the contents contained in the DOJ's records is not publicly known, and it's likely that much of the content will be significantly censored, akin to Congressional releases
