A ex-military leader of the the nation's space operations center will deliver recommendations next month on how the government-funded institute can optimally help the scope of official artificial intelligence goals in defense, national security and intelligence.

Strategic Realignment

The organization's leader, a former Amazon UK boss, confirmed that 78 different research projects at the organization with 440 employees have been terminated, spun out or finished because they fail to match with the fresh focus.

Internal Challenges

The institute has faced internal strife since last year as staff protested against restructuring, culminating in a collection of workers registering an official concern to the relevant regulatory body.
